looks like fun. I actually saw a BMW n a flatbed with studded tires. I’m never seen them around here before. I’m not even entirely sure your allowed to have them here (boston) maybe thats why it was on the flatbed?

We have specific laws. No chains in the city (I think), but you’re required to have them in your trunk while out of the city at higher elevations during snow. Studs are okay everywhere, but have a season.

What’s the one in the picture? We have a family friend with a 968, I’ve only seen it maybe 3 times but I knew it was kind of just a 944 convict able with some more 928 quest hidden in it.
Sometimes that whole entire catagory of Porsches confuses me. I love the 924 and 944 and 928, I understand those!
But the 968 is a soft top, but now a V8 like the 928... Elaborate for me

I don’t really know anything lol. from what I understand the 968 is just a 944, with 928 headlights, and a bigger engine. Still a 4 cylinder, but 3.0l.

Very, very nice picture (even the colour looks nicer now!), although I’d think anybody would question the sanity of fitting snowchains to alloy wheels. Or driving with alloy wheels through [salted? salty?] snow and ice.
Most likely it is from an ad/brochure for Porsche designed/approved accessories – Tequipment or whatever they were called in those days.
That skier looks suspiciously like an add-on though. So much so I repeatedly looked at the image on different occasions and have only noticed its presence today.

Yeah, that's what I was thinking.
